I thought that I had better try to do this post on time, before my schedule is all crazy again. Again, I don't think I'll get to all of these meals.
This week's produce CSA food:
Beets, turnips, assorted small colorful potatoes, eggs, leeks, and onions
Meat CSA:
ground beef, veal for kabobs, and pork chops
Other farmer's market goodness:
bread, local honey
Meals this week:
- Steak, smashed skin-on new potatoes, wilted beet greens with garlic and leeks
- Tuna salad sandwiches with beet greens
- Swedish meatballs, beets with creme fraiche and wasabi
- Stew from leftover steak, kale, and turnips? Only if I'm brave enough to try to make up my own recipe
Dessert:
I've been wanting to make pound cake for about a month now, so I might have to actually make it.
