On Tuesday Micah took Charlotte to pick up our CSA food, because I had a school thing. Our produce CSA is a little different than most. Most CSA's give you a box with an assortment of produce. Ours allows us to look over all of the offerings they bring to the market and choose up to our weekly allowance of $20. I like that flexibility.
CSA food for the week:
Eggs, carrots, lots of sugar snap peas, green onions, lettuce
Other goodies from the market:
Tomatoes, strawberries, and bread
And here's what I'm making over the weekend:
Breakfast:
- Pound cake with strawberries on top (Have I mentioned yet that Charlotte refuses to eat strawberries? Micah and I are both completely puzzled.)
- Oatmeal
Other meals:
- Tomato Basil Mozzarella sandwiches (The first of the summer and I am EXCITED.)
- Chicken and baby carrots with lemon and
chivesgreen onions - Some sort of pasta/snap pea/pesto dish- drawing inspiration from this one
