Charlotte's vocabulary:
byebye, ball, balloon, belly button, mama, dada, dog, cat, woof, drink, down, done-done, nuhnuh (for some reason that means food), dance, hat, book, umbrella, light...

...and all sorts of other words, uttered with the utmost earnestness and sincerity, that we don't understand.

Charlotte's sleep:
Charlie sleeps in an adult, full-sized bed by herself. Her security item has become her sippy cup. (She does not drink milk to go to sleep. Yes, I am aware that that would be bad for her teeth.) Instead, she clutches the cup in the crook of her arm as she cuddles up underneath a blanket, sleeping on her tummy. She sleeps straight through the night for about 10 hours a night most of the time, but lately she has been having the occasional 4AM awakening. She now takes only one nap a day.

Charlotte's interests:
Charlotte loves to help sweep and play in the sweep piles. She also likes cleaning up- she will take a rag and wipe things clean. She likes to help Mommy and Daddy make her food. Lately she has been extremely interested in helping Daddy build Ikea furniture.
She also helps Daddy fix computers. Some days a neighbor lady comes over to play with Charlotte, and on those days Charlotte usually gets to play with a doggy, go swing, and play with another little girl in the neighborhood. Charlotte likes pretty things and helping get dressed. She also adores playing xylophone, drums, and tambourine. She likes dancing to all kinds of music, but is particularly fond of a nice, loud bassline.

Writing on this blog is like keeping a diary of your lives. You've got all sorts of interesting things about Charlotte and her growth. It would be neat to print all of them (is that possible?) and save them for Charlotte to read someday. She would love it!
