We brought 4 pairs of shoes for Charlotte when we left home mid-May. Now she has outgrown all but one pair, so I have been on the lookout for some more. After getting a $5 off $15 coupon in the mail, I decided to make the trek down to Mission Street to go to Thrift Town. When Micah got home from work tonight, he took Charlotte and I had the chance to explore on my own.
The Mission District is a vibrant, primarily Latin community located in the heart of San Francisco. I only saw a tiny piece of it, but what I saw was full of smoke shops, groceries with TONS of fruits and veggies sitting on the sidewalk, and people selling corn on a stick and hot tamales from their cars. The street was loud and noisy with the sounds of people from all walks of life dawdling or rushing. There were homeless people begging, tons of Spanish-speaking workers, and young professionals carrying yoga mats all in the same space.
I walked down the street to Thrift Town and found a few things, including a couple of pairs of shoes for Charlotte. I’m a little concerned that the shoes are going to be too big for her, but it can be hard to go in to a thrift store to find something in particular. I also bought a couple of new things for me- all of my pants are hanging off of me, which is annoying.
For Charlotte
Pink shirt: Janie and Jack, Shoes: Target Brand and Pumpkin Patch,
Play/PJ pants: Gymboree, Baby Gap, Bella Bliss
For me
For Micah The satisfaction of having a happy wife. :)
