Micah and Christine

Charlotte likes pasta.
Though this pasta did stain our little placemat thing... Oh well.

Weekend before last we went to the Golden Gate rec area. I think. We were going to go to the Golden Gate Park, but that place is massive, containing several museums, a carousel, a botanical gardens, and more. We chose to save the park for another day.

Instead, Micah got to drive on a really crooked little road, with crazy rocks just to the side of the car, the ocean to the left. When we parked, this was our view:

cool-looking trees, the Pacific ocean beyond.

We decided to eat first, so we started walking up the hill to eat. The view behind us:

See the sky fading into the ocean?

We passed some really cool restaurants because they were not Charlotte-friendly. We ended up at this place, and it was fairly tasty. I got a gyro sandwich, Micah got fish and chips, Charlotte got cottage cheese, but her favorite thing was my gyro meat. She LOVES gyro meat. :)

It was tasty, but nothing too exciting. We did end up leaving with one of their specialties: a chocolate-banana milkshake to go.

We then walked along a trail that followed the ocean. We could see gorgeous hills along the way, and had a really lovely view of the Golden Gate bridge. Micah has the "pretty" pictures on his camera, so I'll have to let him post them later. In the meantime, you can get a good idea of what it looks like here. We were there!

The Golden gate bridge is right behind our heads, I promise! :)
