Micah and Christine

plus three

So, we use cloth diapers most of the time around here. When Charlotte was first born, we really had an extra bag of trash every week, just of her diapers. Now she is in cloth, mostly BumGenius 3.0's. They are a pocket diaper, and my favorite of the ones we have tried. At some point I want to post my cloth diapering philosophy, but for now, I'll just mention that I have added to the stash.

I was fortunate enough to get in on some of the seconds when cotton babies was doing a clearance. I got two more BG 3.0's in white.

diapers!

I also got a couple of the flip diapers to see what all the buzz is about. These weren't around when I was buying Charlotte's diapers. (Wow, that makes it sound like it was so long ago. It was only a year and a half ago!) Anyway, the flip diapers are called hybrids since they can be used with a pre-fold insert or disposable inserts. Right now we use disposable diapers when traveling, and I wanted to see if these were a reasonable alternative when on the go. I like the color of the flips I bought, but they have snaps. I have mixed feelings about snaps. So we will just see how they go!

I recently went to JoAnn's to fulfill one of my crafty goals of the year- making a tutu for Charlotte. I read a lot about tutu's before going, and finally decided to buy a bunch of tulle and try a couple of different designs. I started out basic and simple, and was pleased with the results.

This one took 45 minutes from start to finish. I have some other colors and will try some different things later, when she is walking. For JoJo- I tried to get a picture of her standing up, looking out the window wearing this. She disagreed with this idea strongly... so this is her at play.
