The flight wasn't too bad since I slept a lot. My hotel is near Tiananmen square, so I took the Beijing subway right to it. The room is much fancier than I thought it would be!
TianAnmen square: each day they raise the flag at sunrise. Hundreds of Chinese tourists are there to watch. A dessert I saw many people eating: fruit on a stick, coated in sweet icing. Later, I got one with tomato.
The Forbidden City- a palace in the middle of Beijing. It's like a big museum on the inside and outside. The last picture is torwards a hill outside the palace.
The Summer Palace- very beautiful grounds and buildings. Many buildings are built on a rocky hill with long views of Beijing on one side and a lake on the other side.
The Temple of Heaven- a temple for praying for good harvests. The surrounding park is very beautiful and many people practice Tai Chi here.
The final keynote of the conference.
