Well, work on the house is going slow and steady. Some jobs that didn't seem so big on the surface turned out to be a little larger than I had anticipated... but I guess that's the nature of owning a home over 50 years old. I'm very excited and hopeful that we can get the carpet in upstairs soon and just move in!

And underneath the carpet on the stairs, we discovered hardwood! They are pretty nice stairs!
Through all of this work I'm reminded how many of the little jobs feel like they make very little impact, but make such a big difference... things like cleaning, or scraping down wallpaper glue, or prepping walls. Putting up beautiful paint is the fun part, and I'm so glad that we're getting closer to that point.
In other news, I went to a basketball game tonight and played in an alumni pep band. It was fun. :)
