Micah and Christine

We hit a deer. First off, we're are all fine.

There are lots of deer around where we live and we see them wandering around pretty often in the evening. We've had some near hits in the past (on the same road), but we've always managed to avoid them. Well, on the way home a couple nights ago, one ran right out in front of me.

I'm not sure what I could have done to avoid it this time. Driving slower would have helped, but I wasn't speeding when it happened. The road we were on is a two lane highway, so I was driving with my brights off.

We pulled over, but couldn't see the deer, so it might have gotten away.
