I am still unsure about a lot of things in Charlotte's room. We don't know what we're going to use for her bed, or what dressers or other furniture we're going to have.
In her room right now, we have this dresser from Ikea. There are several things I like about the dresser:
So, I'm considering selling this dresser on Craig's List. I would anticipate getting about the same amount for it that I paid, which is not too bad for a year's use. Then I might buy another dresser. I might even try to paint that dresser. But I'm kind of scared. What if it looks horrible? I've never done one before.
So instead of focusing on the things I don't know about her room, I thought I'd switch to what I want for her room. My plan is to do this room re-design as cheaply as possible.
I already have these adorable wall cards from eeBoo:
I am hoping to take the colors from the box of the alphabet cards. I like the light purple, dark purple, and red combination. Here's a close-up of the box, though it's kind of hard to see the colors:
These were a gift from my Mother in Law long before we were expecting Charlotte.

- Purchased from Craig's List for cheap, without the need to put it together.
- Cute style.
- Excellent height to use with a changing pad on top, which is what we have been doing.
- Wide enough to also place her wipes warmer on the top of the dresser.

After looking around for pictures of these cards, I found out
that other people used this same color scheme with these cards.

So I'm planning on doing her wall color in that lavender color you see on the top of the picture above. I want to be really careful with the paint color, as it is important to me that it not look pink-y. (Don't get me wrong, I like pink. A lot. As in, my wedding colors were pink and gold.) It's just that I want the purple and red look for this room. I am hoping to re-use the red curtains from our guest room in her room.
I was thinking I would just put the cards up along the top of the walls of her room like a border, until one day when I was searching Etsy while pregnant. I was looking for mobiles, but stumbled upon this seller. Now I'm pretty convinced I want to put the cards up like that- so cute!
