Micah and Christine

plus three
May 26, 2010 by Christine
Before moving to San Francisco for the summer, we went to Indiana. Last Wednesday all three of us were miserably sick. We slept all morning, but still made the trek to see the Rusts in Bloomington in the afternoon.

Julie and Lucy, Justin

Lucy is almost exactly a year older than Charlotte, so they don't have a lot in common yet. Next year I bet they'll play!

Lucy has gotten so big!

I posted before about the flights. Here is Charlotte, waiting to take off on her very first airplane ride!

Adventure is out there!

Here we are at the San Francisco airport, waiting to take the train to the car rentals:

SO much stuff... I don't think this picture does the amount of stuff justice.

Random picture... really tired.

This pic is from our Target experience. When I asked the checkout girl if they were always that busy, she said that that day didn't compare to Saturday. Remind me never to go to Target on a Saturday in San Francisco.

Well, Charlotte is happy to be there.

The new place for the week:

Hello Kitty bag was a gift from the Rusts. It is currently home to five
stuffed animals, which are taken out and put back in again and again and again.

So on Monday my laptop charger died, and consequently my laptop died. (Did I also mention that I left my phone in Indiana, and I am still waiting for it to come in the mail?) I really can't be without my computer, so I used Micah's tiny one for the day and found an Apple store.

There are two relatively close to where we are staying, so I chose the one at a mall. A "normal" mall, with parking, and safe familiar stores.

At the Apple store, I found out that my charger was broken- the pins inside of it had worn down. They told me that I had "apple care," basically an extended warranty. I have no recollection of purchasing this. In fact, I was certain that I did not purchase it. But who am I to complain? They replaced the charger for free. It would have been $100 to purchase another one.

Afterward we ate at the foodcourt. When we were done, Micah got up to throw away our trash. Here is what we found:

Three bins: Organics (compost), Recyclables, Trash. There is also a tv
above them, with a continuously looping movie explaining what goes where.

I see this three bin setup at our house and all the houses we have seen. I think that it is the law to recycle here, though I haven't looked that up yet. Lots of new stuff here.
