Yesterday we went to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham.
Indoors, there are exhibits on weather, geology, and insects. There's also one on space travel with some full size Apollo and Lunar modules.
Connected to the insect exhibit is a butterfly garden! The building feels like a tropical forest- warm with weird plants and mist. In the sunny parts, the air is filled with dozens of fluttering butterflies.
Moving outdoors, there are some cute farm animals. Here we found out that Charlotte is scared of pigs and cows. The museum also has bears, wolves, lemurs, and a big wetland area.
After we had seen the sights, we went to a little play place for kids Charlotte's age.
...and here's Mommy teaching Charlotte how to climb stairs.
