Being home is nice. Despite missing dear friends and family in Indiana, there is something particularly wonderful about sleeping in my own bed again. My bed is soooooo comfy.
We have been home for nearly 48 hours. So far I've managed to ignore a majority of the laundry, dishes, and cleaning that are screaming my name. Here's what I've been doing instead:
Some work.
I'm working part time this summer for the school.
Meeting with advisor.
I am so happy that I can say that I really like my boss.
Read some blogs and did a little blog reader purging.
Goodbye, deal sites!
Grocery shopping.
First time I had grocery shopped in a couple of weeks. Fortunately they gave my kid a balloon.
Thought about cleaning the kitchen.
Quickly dismissed the thought.
Made guacamole for dinner.
I am kind of guac obsessed.
Watched Disney's Oceans finally.
Really really neat! Charlotte grinned and squealed and pointed and adored it.
Slept in my own bed.
Did I mention that it's comfy?
Ignored several piles of laundry.
I've heard that if you ignore them long enough, the wrinkles work themselves out.
Let my kid run around sans diaper for a couple of hours to see what would happen.
Not much...
Did some preliminary sorting of Charlotte and Christine clothes.
Am I a terrible wife for not sorting Micah's clothes, too?
Napped
;)
Watered my plants.
Which for the most part, miraculously survived 11 days of neglect.
Went to a farmer's market.
Not our normal one, so we had a 15 minute drive.
Made tomato mozzarella sandwiches for dinner.
Hello, yummy standby.
Went on a walk to see some cows.
We looked and looked. Then Charlotte said "bye bye." She went on to say, "home." and walked toward the car.
Drove up to Chapel Hill for some frozen yogurt at Yogurt Pump.
Love that little place.
Writing all of those things out makes it sound like we've been busy, when in reality it has been a very relaxed and indulgent couple of days. I imagine that tomorrow I will need to face the music and actually clean. Then on Saturday I'm excited. We have the choice between two pretty fun things to do: the Bluebird Hill Farm Lavendar Festival or Life and Science's Bubble Blitz.
Now I'm listening to Charlotte and Micah read a book together before she goes to bed. I really like this little life of ours. :)

Remember when you were a kid and you could sleep ANYWHERE?? I have found that as an adults NO bed is as wonderful as my bed. Except the bed I slept in years ago at your dad's house while helping you move and the beds at New Harmony Inn.

Sarah, I'm sure that my Dad would be honored to know that that bed was among the most comfy you've ever slept in! I think there must be some sort of golden period of time- (maybe from age 4 to age 20?) when one can sleep anywhere. I'm finding I'm past that time. :)
