Today is Christine's birthday! Charlotte was in daycare, so we got to have a date-lunch. Christine wanted to try the Spotted Dog in Carrboro. It was pouring rain and there is much road construction nearby, so when we finally arrived, we decided to have an appetizer. Christine picked the sweet potato fries, which we both enjoyed. I had slaw-dogs and Christine had Black-eyed pea cakes. They were a little like crab cakes, with a unique flavor.

After lunch, we visited Vespertine's Carrboro store, where Christine bought a new purse. Then we went to the mall to spend lots of money on clothes. Christine is usually careful with spending money, so it was a fun treat!
Finally, we picked up Charlotte from daycare and had a simple dinner out at Chipotle with our friend Anish. Well, most of us had dinner- Charlotte decided to spend meal time running around making us take turns eating and watching her.
Since we can't really eat a big birthday cake right now, Christine got a cannoli from Village pizza for her birthday cake. Happy birthday, Christine!
